A Mistake That Blows Your Chances Of A Second Date

A Mistake That Blows Your Chances Of A Second Date

Looking dowdy and not on fleek with your outfit on a first date can easily give the woman you’re going out with the wrong messages about you. And it can also easily mean that there won’t be Date Number Two.

There will come a time when you’ll realize that you’ve been wearing the same getup for a long time. Now while you may think that updating your look is just too much effort, making it happen is actually pretty easy. So if you’re looking to update your look… so you can look better, feel more confident and become more attractive to the opposite sex, here are the things you need to keep in mind…

Take your outfit’s patterns and colors to a new level.

A lot of guys tend to fill their closets with shirts of the same dull color, particularly white and similar lighter shades. Same thing also happens when it comes to their choice of pants. If you’re planning to update your look, start choosing clothes with bolder shades and patterns.

Get out of your comfort zone and try clothes that you haven’t thought about wearing before. For example; instead of sticking only with khaki pants, try putting on greys and browns. Go for pinstripes and checkered shirts while you’re at it, too.

Then if you want to take it to the next level, grab some men’s fashion magazines and look at what the male models are wearing… or check out what male celebrities are wearing who have a similar hair and skin colour and body shape to you and then start experimenting.

The overall fit can make or break your whole getup.

If you’re a skinny or lean guy, always go for tapered shirts to achieve a more robust look. If you’re slightly larger then be sure to find the exact right fit for you; not too baggy and not too tight either.

However, you don’t have to give up on your baggy shirts just yet if you don’t want to. Just bring them to a tailor for a bit of repair and they’ll be good to go in no time. Don’t forget to give your pants the same professional treatment if they are too baggy or a few inches too long.

Be a minimalist when it comes to hair gel or mousse.

Hair gel or mousse basically transforms your head into a pin cushion by making you look slimy and stiff. Now while using a pinch here and there is not too bad, forget about dabbing a whole handful in a single sitting or else you’re in for a disaster.

Apart from making you look “greasy”, too much of a hair product also encourages the production of excess facial oils that can sometimes lead to acne. Just go for a natural hairdo next time and you’ll be amazed how much better your look will be.

(Now we’ve covered that, here’s why you shouldn’t go for skinny jeans when choosing your outfit.)
