Never Do This When You Just Broke Up With A Woman

Going through a breakup is no doubt an extremely difficult experience. And it really doesn’t matter if you’re the one who has just been dumped or perhaps did the axing.  The whole thing is going to be very hard for the both of you no matter what angle you look at it.

But the thing is I’ve learned during my extensive research into the male psychology that a lot of men tend to make a mistake that increases the hurt that they are going to endure after breaking up with their ex.

There’s a big possibility that you’re guilty of making this one as well. Why not follow along and find out what this mistake is so you’ll spare yourself of the added grief when you and your former love interest part ways?

Like I’ve pointed out in the beginning, dealing with a breakup is going to be very tough. Besides taking its toll on you physically, you’re also going to be affected mentally because of the changes that are taking place inside your body.

This is because according to the results of various clinical studies, a person who has just broken up with someone will experience a combined surge of cortisol and stress hormones during the experience, akin to someone who is going through withdrawal symptoms brought on by substance abuse.

Besides triggering anywhere from mild discomfort to moderate pain in the muscles, especially in the chest area, these cortisol and stress hormones also stimulate the eyes to churn out less saltier yet more watery “emotional tears,” which make them look puffy and gaunt.

And just to top it all off, these aren’t just the unpleasant side effects that you’re in for when these stress hormones and cortisol build up excessively in your body after going through a breakup. It can even cause erectile problems while at it. No wonder it’s one of the most horrible experiences ever.

Now we’ve got that covered, here’s the mistake I was telling you about earlier…

Never pretend that you’re fine even when you’re feeling the worst.

Most guys tend to pretend that they’re just fine even when the levels of these cortisol and stress hormone levels are going through the roof in their bodies. Letting the people around you know you’re feeling sad or depressed after a breakup isn’t something that you should be ashamed of.

Don’t be ashamed of crying, being whiny or doing “girly” stuff like being indecisive or sentimental when you just broke off with your ex.  It’s all pretty normal and there’s no shame in doing them.

Interestingly, the body also has the ability to fix this surge in cortisol and stress hormones before you know it. These effects will go away by themselves sooner or later.
