So You’re Not Drinking Enough Water…
While checking out a medical journal at the library over the weekend, I discovered a simple mistake a lot of guys tend to overlook that can significantly affect their sexual performance in the long run.
And this mistake is not drinking enough water daily. Now while this may sound a bit odd right now, I’m sure you’ll be loading up more on the stuff when you follow along…
However, before I explain this more in detail, let me first give you a quick rundown on what happens inside your body during sexual arousal to get you ready for lovemaking when you and your partner get frisky in the bedroom.
When the brain detects that things are getting hot in bed, it stimulates the endocrine glands to produce and release certain mood-altering hormones that set off key changes in the body to get you ready for sex.
Besides spiking up the blood pressure, these hormones also boost the breathing rate and direct a more than usual amount of blood to the pelvic region where they go straight to the erectile tissues in the penis, which results to an erection. These hormones also keep the penis firm to make sexual penetration possible until orgasm is reached.
This is what happens when everything goes as they’re ideally supposed to. However, this process gets disrupted when your blood vessels are not functioning up to par. And according to the medical journal I’ve read, one of the biggest reasons why they are not doing so is because they are constricted due to dehydration.
The lack of water in the system causes a lot of negative effects in the body. Aside from making it really difficult for you to repair and rejuvenate damaged cells and tissues, which can also have an impact on your sexual stamina levels, dehydration also reduces the natural elasticity of the blood vessels.
When these blood vessels become rigid, it can be very difficult for blood to flow through them during sexual arousal. This means it’s either you will have a hard time getting a strong erection or perhaps you’ll just end up staying soft while at it. And this will only bring disappointment to you and your lover.
I’m not saying that you should immediately change your water consumption drastically. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water daily already does the trick. So how about downing a glass or two right after you read this to start things off?
