So You’re Having Trouble Getting An Erection…

If you’re a guy reading this, chances are getting a strong erection is perhaps your top priority when you and your wife are getting frisky in the bedroom.

The thing is you just find it rather tricky to get rock hard like you used to these days.

Now while not being able to get rock hard on demand as fast as you’d like to the next time things get hot in bed can be upsetting, there’s no need to worry just yet. You’re probably making a simple mistake that can prevent you from achieving an erection almost instantly during lovemaking.

And this mistake is worrying too much that you won’t get a stable erection while you and your partner are at it in bed.

Unlike what a lot of guys mistakenly think, getting hard during sexual arousal is purely mental. It is basically the effect of a hormonal reaction that gets set off when the brain excites the endocrine glands to produce and release mood-altering hormones that trigger significant changes in the body.

Besides making the skin extra sensitive, particularly in and around the genitals, as well as increasing the breathing rate, these hormones also cause the blood pressure to spike up to direct a more than usual amount of blood to the pelvic region.

The blood then flows to the erectile tissues in the penis to firm it up and keep it that way until orgasm is reached. Ideally, this is what happens inside the body when things go as they are supposed to and the right hormones get released.

However, a different effect takes place when the wrong ones, specifically stress hormones, are let loose. Instead of making you sexually aroused, these hormones only make you feel rather anxious, jumpy and distracted.

Now while stress hormones and their positive counterparts can trigger similar effects when released in the body, mainly the increase in blood pressure and breathing rate, the biggest difference is the former won’t get you rock hard anytime soon no matter how hard you try.

So it’s either you will take a very long time to get a stable erection or you won’t be getting hard at all. And just to make things scarier, stress hormones can also disrupt the normal sexual responses of your body that can easily lead to premature ejaculation while at it.

The next time things get hot in the bedroom, keep in mind to just relax as much as you can. Or else you might not be getting rock hard as fast as usual.
