Why Eating Too Much Junk Food Can Hurt Your Sexual Performance

So you’re looking to get things hot in the bedroom with your lover but recently you’ve noticed that you are not getting rock hard as fast as you used to.

And now while this may sound surprising, one possible reason why it’s taking longer for you to get a stable erection these days is you’re probably loading up on too much junk food.

Sure this may sound rather simplistic, but you’ll see my point when you follow along.

However, to give you a clearer picture on this, let’s have a quick rundown first on the things that happen inside your body when you and your partner get frisky in bed.

During sexual arousal, the brain stimulates the endocrine system to produce and release hormones that cause significant changes in your body. Besides making you breathe in a much faster rate, it also spikes up your blood pressure.

This increase in blood pressure not only makes your skin more sensitive, especially in and around the male erogenous zones like nipples, scrotum and inner thighs, but also direct more blood to the erectile tissues in the penis to firm it up.

When things go as they’re supposed to, you will have a stable erection almost immediately during sexual arousal. But chances are you’re going to have a tough time getting rock hard or perhaps even stay soft the whole time no matter how hard you try if you always have junk foods daily.

Well, if you’re anything like most men, you probably have a penchant for a bite of junk food from time to time. Now while there’s nothing wrong with occasionally indulging in your favorite chips, fries or pork rinds, just eating them every day can easily cause problems when it comes to rising up to the occasion when you and your partner are getting frisky in the bedroom.

See, junk foods are called that way because they’re pretty much made of stuff that are not beneficial to your body. Besides being almost always too oily, they can also be very salty. The combination of too much fat and salt only leads to one health issue that can prevent you from getting rock hard on demand.

And this health issue is having very high bad cholesterol levels.

When you’ve got bad cholesterol levels that are higher than usual, the blood vessels that send blood to the erectile tissues in the penis tend to get clogged up with plaque, which not only makes it really difficult for blood to flow through, but also make them lose their natural elasticity in the process.

At its simplest, you’re basically putting yourself at risk of making it extremely tough to get an erection when you need one.

And to make things even scarier, chances are you’re also vulnerable to stroke, heart attack and atherosclerosis, a type of cardiovascular disease in which the veins and arteries harden, if not given the proper medical attention.

Now while I am not saying that enjoying your favorite junk foods is already bad, I am just emphasizing that limiting the portions you’re eating is a must if you’re looking to keep your ability to get a stable erection when things get hot in the bedroom with your lover.

(And here’s why you should masturbate regularly if you want to become a better lover.)
