How Bad Cholesterol Can Prevent You From Getting Rock Hard

If you’re anything like most men, munching on oily foods is probably on your list of favorite things to do. Now while there’s nothing with loading up on the greasy stuff from time to time, overdoing it can easily lead to problems during lovemaking in the long run.

See, while checking out a medical journal the other day, I discovered that a lot of the oily foods we love like pork rinds, French fries and potato chips contain a certain component that can cause a major problem when things get hot in the bedroom if incessantly allowed to build up in the body over time.

And this component is bad cholesterol, which can make getting a stable erection extremely difficult the next time you and your lover get frisky. However, before I start explaining the whole thing in detail, let me give you a quick rundown on what happens in the body during sexual arousal…

As soon as you get sexually aroused, the brain fires up specific glands to start producing and releasing hormones. These hormones basically cause significant changes in the system like spiking up the heart rate and making the erogenous zones like the penis, scrotum and the nipples extra sensitive to stimulation.

There’s also one very important effect that these hormones set off that your body needs to really get your lovemaking session going. They increase the amount of blood directed to the erectile tissues in the penis to firm it up and help you get rock hard.

And unless these erectile tissues get the sufficient amount of blood they need, chances are you’ll only get a weak erection or even none at all.

According to a study published by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, one of the key factors that cause erratic blood flow is very high levels of bad cholesterol in the body, which promotes the accumulation of plaque along the linings of veins and arteries.

Remarkably, bad cholesterol usually collects in the body when you eat too much oily foods.

Besides radically cutting off the circulation of blood, which is needed by the body to repair and rejuvenate damaged cells and tissues, plaque also disrupts it from reaching the erectile tissues in the penis on time during sexual arousal leading to erectile dysfunction.

Just to make things even scarier, plaque build-up also causes a number of serious health issues like cardiovascular disease, stroke and atherosclerosis, which can eventually become fatal if not given the thorough medical attention they require.

So if you’re looking to keep your erections strong, plus keeping your body as healthy as possible, keep in mind to only enjoy your favorite oily foods occasionally and not as regular items on your daily menu.
