Why Sitting All Day Can Weaken Your Sexual Performance

Now while I am not meaning to scare you, you may be doing something right at this very moment that can easily affect your ability to get a stable erection. And this is sitting for a very long time.

Let me explain what I mean…

While checking out some medical journals the other day, I discovered that sitting down for hours on end does something to the body of a man that can eventually disrupt the whole erection process.

Now while there’s nothing wrong with the act of sitting at all, doing it excessively daily leads to the pinching of blood vessels and nerves located in the pelvic region. Besides leading to numbness and the occasional sensation of pins and needles in and around the areas of the penis and scrotum, it will also cause a more serious problem if not corrected.

This can eventually lead to erectile dysfunction in the long run as well.

See, there is a process that happens inside a man’s body during sexual arousal to achieve an erection. As soon as a guy gets sexually aroused, the brain releases hormones that stimulate a few significant changes in the system. The most notable of these changes is the increase in blood pressure.

And this spike in blood pressure directs more blood to the pelvic region where the erectile tissues are located. These erectile tissues absorb blood to firm up the penis and make it ready for sex.

However, there’s one key factor that can easily make or break a man’s ability to get an erection and maintain it long enough to make lovemaking successful. Unless the blood vessels provide the erectile tissues in the penis with a sufficient amount of blood, no erection will be achieved.

Moreover, it’s also possible that a man will get an erection without the right amount of blood, but it won’t be as strong or last as long. This simply means that not having a sufficient supply of blood in the pelvic region during sexual arousal can easily impair a guy’s ability to get rock hard on demand.

And here’s where sitting for too long gets in the picture…

Habitual sitting, especially when it goes on for more than a couple of hours daily, causes a minute amount of damage in the blood vessels and nerves in the pelvic region. The first sign of this damage is a sensation of tingling and numbness in the area of the penis and the scrotum.

When the problem gets worse, it can cause unwanted clotting along the linings of these blood vessels, which can hamper the flow of blood to the erectile tissues of the penis and vice versa, leading to erectile dysfunction.

So make it a point to stand up straight as often as you can to prevent this from happening to you.
