How Being Hydrated Makes You A Better Lover

Drinking a sufficient amount of water daily plays a key role in the overall function of our bodies.

Besides helping the cells and tissues remain hydrated to keep them healthy, loading up on at least eight glasses of water each day also speeds up the pace on the rejuvenation and distribution of essential nutrients in the system.

However, there’s one benefit of staying sufficiently hydrated that a lot of men may know about, but seem to take for granted. And that is the fact that drinking the right amount of water daily also helps your erections remain as strong as ever.

Let me explain what I mean…

When a man is sexually aroused, his brain releases a number of hormones that produce a few significant changes in his body. Aside from spiking up his blood pressure levels, these hormones also direct a bigger quantity of blood to the erectile tissues that line the penis.

These erectile tissues absorb this blood to firm up the penis and get it ready for lovemaking. Now while this is what happens when the conditions are ideal, this process gets disrupted when the blood vessels that send blood to the erectile tissues are not flexible enough.

When these blood vessels have lost their natural elasticity or experience “vasoconstriction,” the flow of blood in the system will not be as efficient as before. It will become significantly slow and sluggish.

Besides delaying blood flow to the parts of the body where it is needed the most like the vital organs, tissues and cells, it will also make getting an erection take too longer than usual.

And just to make things even worse, if a man does get an erection when he is experiencing vasoconstriction, there’s no way he can make sure that he can maintain it long enough to make lovemaking possible.

Here’s where staying hydrated comes in…

Having enough water in the body is the best method to prevent vasoconstriction because it keeps the blood vessels flexible to keep blood flow as efficient as possible. Interestingly, unlike other fluids, water also doesn’t promote the production and accumulation of plaque in the bloodstream, such as sodas as similar sweetened drinks, which can cause problems when it comes to getting an erection as well.

Nutritionists share that simply making it a habit to drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water daily already does the trick.  They also advise taking it easy on coffee and caffeinated beverages to get the best results.

(Make sure you take note of this premature ejaculation-causing mistake as well.)
