Why Intelligence Is An Important Factor In Attracting Women

I was watching the news the other day when I came across a segment that I found really interesting. It was about the perfect attribute that women love to see in men.

And while this may sound surprising, it wasn’t good looks, designer clothes, a flashy car or a fat wallet…

As it turns out… according to a study conducted by the Evolutionary Psychology Department of the University of New Mexico, the cliché “intelligence is sexy” may be true after all.

Researchers theorize that women are more inclined to be attracted to guys who have high IQ levels because they uncovered a code in the female genetic makeup that linked virility to intelligence.

Scientists believe that somewhere along the evolutionary line, women were drawn to smarter men because they knew how to survive better than their less intelligent counterparts, which is a significant advantage when you’re living in a time when animals like the sabre-tooth tiger roamed the planet and you could potentially be attacked at any moment.

Sure brawny men may have been faster and stronger, which made them better hunters and foragers, but smarter guys dropped the idea of wandering from one place to another to look for food and developed the beginnings of modern agriculture.

Instead of risking life and limb wandering from one place to another just to survive, our more intelligent ancestors left hunting and foraging behind altogether and began growing plants and raising animals. They even established communes where they can live peacefully, protected from the elements, without the risk of ever going hungry again.

Come to think of it, if you’re a woman looking for a potential mate in those days, it’s not tough making a decision of who to pick.

And what makes this intelligence-virility link even more fascinating is that there is actually proof that men who are smarter tend to have higher sperm counts.

A similar study conducted by the same University of New Mexico researchers put over 300 men through rigorous mental exams while providing samples of their sperm. They found out that the participants who scored the highest in the tests also had the healthiest sperm among the group.

They even speculate that language and artistic skills may have started as an evolutionary mechanism by our highly intelligent forefathers to display that they had healthy genes and were more likely to help bear smart descendants as well.

So the next time you’re looking to attract a woman, change up your strategy. Stop concentrating on just your looks or flaunt the car you’re driving. Don’t be afraid to demonstrate the intelligence you have when an appropriate opportunity arises.
