Why Visiting The Dentist Is A Must To Prevent Erectile Dysfunction

Now while this may sound surprising, a recent visit to my dentist helped me learn a lot about effectively preventing erectile dysfunction.

If you’re anything like most men, you probably don’t drop by your dentist’s clinic to pick up tips about keeping a stable erection. However, what my dentist revealed is that there is interestingly a direct link between proper oral hygiene and your ability to get rock hard.

Here’s what I mean…

Blood flow plays a very important role when it comes to getting hard during sexual arousal. It is what makes the tissues in your penis stiffen to achieve an erection and keep it long enough for lovemaking. The faster the ideal amount of blood can flow to your penis, the easier it is for you get into action between the sheets.

However, you could find yourself not getting a stable erection or none at all if something disrupts the flow of blood to your penis. And one of the biggest culprits of obstructing blood flow is plaque, a blockage that slowly clogs up the linings of your veins and arteries.

Although the excessive consumption of fatty foods, heavy smoking and drinking as well as the lack of exercise can encourage the development of plaque, not paying close attention to your oral hygiene can also lead to the same result.

In short, not making it a point to regularly brush and floss your teeth can give you more than just toothaches and sore gums. It can also affect your ability to get and maintain an erection to make sexual penetration possible.

What’s even scarier is that plaque develops even faster if you neglect your oral hygiene. Now while it can still take up to a decade for a considerable amount of plaque to form in your veins and arteries if you have an unhealthy lifestyle and a poor diet, simply ignoring tooth decay and diseased gums will shorten it to about four to six years.

Now I know a lot of guys may be afraid of the dentist, someone who fears visiting the dentist even has their own medical term known as “odontophobia,”, but visiting him or her regularly is definitely a must if you’re looking to keep your ability to get rock hard on demand up to par.

Oral health is integral to your overall wellness as man. Besides exposing yourself to bad breath, cavities, toothaches, unhealthy gums and other oral health problems, which can significantly reduce your chances of actually getting your lover between the sheets, you’re also putting your ability to achieve a stable erection on the line.

If you still haven’t done so, make sure you schedule a trip to the dentist as soon as you can to get yourself back on the right track to stable erections.
